National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) has launched a new healthcare cash plan for its 64 employees.
The Yorkshire-based charity has provided all employees with access to the employer-paid benefit to enable staff to proactively manage their own health and wellbeing.
The health cash plan, delivered in partnership with Sovereign Health Care, will allow employees to claim tax free cash back towards everyday health costs such as dental treatment, eye tests, glasses, contact lenses and physiotherapy.
In addition, NDNA are also providing an employee assistance programme (EAP), which gives employees access to a 24-hour helpline and face to face counselling, as well as offering personal accident cover of up to £20,000.
Donna Willacy, human resource manager at NDNA, said: “We introduced Sovereign’s cash plan for our employees as part of our commitment to health and wellbeing. It offers our employees so many attractive benefits, from claiming money back on everyday health care expenses helping to maintain their wellbeing, through to the services available with the [employee assistance programme] to support their mental wellbeing.
“By supporting our employees’ overall health as well as their finances, the cash plan is able to help reduce pressures outside of work and improve their mental wellbeing.”
