My Family Care has launched an online portal to help working fathers stay engaged in the workplace.

The child and eldercare provider has partnered The Fatherhood Institute to create a new section, Being a Dad, on its Work+Family Space website. The new resource offers information on coping with pregnancy, babies, childcare, relationships and the role fathers play in child development.

It will also include advice from experts about work and family-related issues, with webinars aimed at helping employers and staff.

Ben Black, founder of My Family Care, said: “The new section of our website is accessible, easy to read and the feedback we’ve received from dads and employers has been really positive.

“Employers that recognise the importance of providing support and flexibility to their workers who are fathers are much more likely to retain quality staff.”

Adrienne Burgess, joint chief executive of The Fatherhood Institute, added: “It’s never been a more critical time to recognise the importance of supporting working fathers.

“Today’s dads face particular challenges in combining work and family, not least because of the support they need to give their working partners. Being a Dad is a resource that can really help.”
