Residential care home provider Avery Healthcare has seen 1,930 of its 4,200 employees activate accounts on its benefits platform since it launched in October 2017.

The organisation implemented its new reward and recognition programme, which is branded Averyone and provided by Personal Group, as part of its wider employee wellbeing strategy, to ensure staff feel recognised and appreciated for their work.

Since October 2017, it has seen 7,513 log ins to the Averyone platform.

The platform includes communications on general organisational news, as well as its internal magazine, to help keep staff up to date on what is happening in the business. Employees can also access information about specific training opportunities, and take up a range of discounts on travel, entertainment and everyday basic items.

Avery Healthcare launched the programme, which is also available via an app, to staff using face-to-face communications and posters around all of its operating sites. The organisation also sent out an e-shot to promote the app, because this was implemented after the initial platform launch.

John Strowbridge (pictured), managing director at Avery Healthcare, said: “Care operators have a responsibility to deliver the best possible care for the older generation. It’s not good enough just to meet guidelines; operators need to continuously strive to improve their buildings, services, and quality of care, and to do that they need to invest in their people as well.

“Our culture is something that we’re passionate about, and through Personal Group’s Hapi we can bring many things into one place; benefits, reward and recognition which all have a real impact on our employees and help packages to go even further.”
