Welsh construction organisation Morganstone has been accredited as a living wage employer by the Living Wage Foundation.
Morganstone, which has more than 90 employees, has committed to paying all staff at least the voluntary living wage rate of £8.45 an hour.
The living wage is a voluntary, independently set rate, which is calculated according to the basic cost of living. The living wage currently stands at £8.45 an hour across the UK, and £9.75 an hour in London.
The voluntary living wage is distinct from the government's national living wage of £7.20 an hour, which is a statutory rate for employees over 25 years old.
Ian Morgan, managing director and founder at Morganstone, said: “It is very important to us that all of our employees are made to feel valued and respected. Committing to the living wage initiative is one way we can show this respect and ensure all our staff have a fair deal.
