Linklaters will offer enhanced shared parental leave (SPL) to staff following the statutory rights that have come into force in the UK this week.
The global law firm is offering employees full pay for up to six months’ leave, subject to certain conditions. This is inclusive of any maternity or paternity leave taken, so that a parent or adopter can take up to six months’ leave on full pay.
Simon Davies, managing partner at Linklaters, said: “As a firm we are committed to helping our people find a genuine balance between their career and home life, as part of our wider goal of attracting, retaining and developing the best talent.
‘As such, providing support for parents in this way was an easy decision to take.”
