Leasedrive Group employees are participating in a 400-mile, four-day, four-country charity bike ride.

The Big Four Charity Bike Ride starts at the fleet management group's Wokingham headquarters and travels through France, Belgium and Luxenbourg.

Seventeen employees will be cycling to raise money for a variety of charities, including Leonard Cheshire Disability, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Mencap.

The Leasedrive Group will cover the Eurotunnel return fares, fuel, support van and cycle shirt costs.

Roddy Graham, commercial director at Leasedrive Group, said: “After two previous major charity rides – the 250-mile 2008 London to Paris ride and the 270-mile 2010 Wokingham to Le Mans ride – this 400-mile ride in just four days represents a daunting challenge for all riders, especially as the final day is through the Ardennes mountains in southern Belgium.

“Leonard Cheshire Disability and Macmillan Cancer Support are two recent charity account wins, while Marie Curie Cancer Care has been one of our nominated charities since 2005 and Mencap since 2010.

“In the current economic climate, we know this will be an equal challenge to the daunting one facing our 17 riders over 400 miles in four days.”
