One-third (34%) of respondents do not use technology to deliver benefits, according to exclusive research by Employee Benefits.
The Benefits Research 2013, which surveyed 561 HR and benefits professionals, found that where respondents do use technology for this purpose, 32% deliver benefits via an HR system, 32% use a voluntary benefits platform, 31% use a flexible benefits platform, 16% use a total reward platform, and 9% use an employee savings platform.
When the annual research was conducted in 2004, 30% of respondents had implemented or upgraded the technology they used to administer benefits in the previous few years.
Nearly half said they had not done so, while around a quarter said they had not, but intended to do so over the next two or three years.
