HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has launched a scheme to provide its 100,000 staff across the UK with Accor Services Childcare Vouchers.
Employees have a choice of either paper or electronic vouchers and access to a helpline for emergency childcare in case their regular arrangements breakdown.
As part of the implementation process, Accor Services has been working closely with HMRC to develop a communications strategy to inform and engage both its off-line and online employees in order to optimise take-up of the scheme.
Lynne Keeble, childcare manager at Accor Services, said: “HMRC is one of the biggest employers in the country and its decision to offer their staff the option of childcare vouchers is indicative of a trend for growth in this area of benefits.
“Our most recent Benefits research revealed that childcare voucher provision has increased among employers by 57% since 2004 and its great to see large employers like HMRC taking a positive approach to staff with families and caring responsibilities.”
