EXCLUSIVE: The Hotel Employers Group (HEG) is to develop a support pack for its employer members to help them deal with pensions auto-enrolment and the real-time information (RTI) programme for payroll.

The group, which represents hotel industry brands such as Holiday Inn Express and Best Western, are working with professional services provider KPMG to deliver the support pack.

Moira Laird a representative for the HEG, said: “We are working with KPMG on a generic strategy and framework for HEG members to use as a blueprint for implementing auto-enrolment and the approach to RTI.”

Paul Bloomfield, senior manager at KPMG, added: “HEG is developing a strategy that considers their members’ choice of pension vehicle, the impact on systems and processes, while exploring every opportunity to make cost savings.

“By looking at both auto-enrolment and RTI, members will be able to minimise the impact on their businesses.”

A workshop session is scheduled for November to present the document to members.
