Personal Group has added a nurse advisory service to its voluntary group income protection (VGIP) product.
The Support product provides employees with a trained nurse via telephone support, referrals to other supporting organisations, and a home visit.
Additional advice is also provided for family members affected by the incapacity.
A clause has also been introduced which means there is no need for underwriting, and all employees can be covered from the date they join the plan.
Caroline Jordan, director at Personal Group, said: “The launch of the Support product really resonates with our new brand statement, For your benefit, as it has employees’ needs at heart.
“By underwriting the product ourselves, we can provide a more seamless service for employers and respond quickly to market changes and needs."
