EXCLUSIVE: Natalie Jutla, employee value proposition and employee benefits lead for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), will be giving a presentation about financial wellbeing on Thursday 7 October at Employee Benefits Live 2021.
The session titled ‘Developing effective financial wellbeing schemes’ will be taking place on the second day of the conference. It will focus on what financial capability is and why it is needed in the workplace, embedding and maintaining a financial capability culture, and the financial impact of challenging times on the workforce.
The presentation will provide delegates with an opportunity for high-level, future-focused discourse, as well as practical learnings from both Jutla’s and Defra’s experience.
“I will be talking about how to understand the positive and negative financial impacts of your workforce during the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, explore financial capability and why it is so important, and the return on investment an informed financial capability strategy can have for the business,” she said.
Jutla explained that she believes attendees can use her session to widen their knowledge on how varying financial capabilities can impact a business and employees.
“Delegates can gain a better understanding of the different perspectives of financial capability and I will provide seven takeaways on how to make a financial capability strategy successful,” she said.
Other sessions focusing on financial wellbeing that will take place at Employee Benefits Live 2021 include the How To session 'Empowering employees through digital transformation' with Michelle Sutton, head of compensation and reward at Suez Recycling and Recovery, and the Inspire session: ‘Pro-actively supporting employees’ financial wellbeing’ with Shell’s HR policy and benefits specialist Alan Becken, Trayport’s reward manager David Glennon, and Yorkshire Building Society’s director of colleague experience Tracey Newton.
Employee Benefits Live 2021 will take place on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 October 2021 at ExCeL London.
