EXCLUSIVE: Delegates at Employee Benefits Connect 2017 will be able to explore how developments in artificial intelligence and advances in technology can help structure a personalised, data-driven health and wellbeing strategy.
Umang Patel (pictured), partnerships director at Babylon Health, will present a session titled ‘How is artificial intelligence redefining the future of employee benefits?’ as part of the technology and innovation conference stream on Wednesday 1 March 2017.
During the session, Patel will discuss how advances in technology such as artificial intelligence can be utilised by employers to gain measurable data on the health of their workforce, enabling organisations to develop a health and wellbeing strategy that is tailored to its specific working demographic.
Patel said: “Rather than wellbeing having to be ‘soft’, let’s make it a hard thing that can be measured and improved on; I think we can start that today using the technology that everyone has in a very sustainable and scalable way."
Patel will also highlight how technological advances can help to speed up the delivery of such programmes, presenting a more personalised and data-driven approach to health and wellbeing that helps to engage staff with their own health, as well as present an overall picture of the healthcare needs of a particular working population.
Patel added: “Let’s take blood pressure, or cholesterol, or risk of diabetes; let’s start gathering up that information to then help the [organisation] help [its] staff be more productive, feel safer and feel more secure."
Employee Benefits Connect 2017 will take place on Wednesday 1 March 2017 at the Park Plaza, London.
