Marine Engineering Partnership (Mepship) has established an employee benefit trust (EBT) to become a wholly employee-owned organisation.
The engineering consultancy was advised by Field Fisher Waterhouse in the establishment of the trust. The project team was led by Graham Nuttall, employee ownership and mutuals partner, and author of the Nuttall Review of Employee Ownershipl.
Magnus Campbell, director at Marine Engineering Partnership (pictured), said: “The establishment of this trust means that we are now a 100% employee-owned organisation held in trust for the benefit of employees, both now and in the future.
“The core purpose of the trust arrangement is to create an egalitarian and equitable working environment to attract and retain the very best engineering talent.
“This in turn provides Mepship with the capability to provide consistent and reliable high-quality engineering consultancy services to our clients for the long term.”
