Engage Mutual has enhanced its employee-paid health cash plan product.

It has removed the excess payable on a range of treatment areas, added an extra premium level, and added an option for employees to pay by direct debit.

The enhancements include:

  • The excess payable has been removed when claiming on consultation and diagnostics, counselling, complementary therapies and health screenings.
  • There has also been an increase in excess of £5 when claiming for dental and optical treatment.
  • The addition of a seventh premium level of £25 per month.
  • Direct debit capabilities enable employees to pay monthly premiums straight to Engage Mutual rather than via salary deductions, which will make it easier for employers to implement.

The changes have been available to corporate clients since 1 June.

David Castling (pictured), commercial sales manager at Engage Mutual, said: “The removal of some excess and the introduction of an increased premium level mirror changes made to our employer-paid [plan].

“We anticipate the introduction of a direct debit capability will make the scheme even more user-friendly for employers and employees alike.”
