The Big Table Group has named Debbie Moore as HR director.
The business, which operates 150 restaurants around the UK and Ireland through chains such as Las Iguanas, Bella Italia and Café Rouge, said Moore would formally start her new job on 15 February.
Moore brings experience from the casual dining sector; she most recently undertook a three-month interim HR director role for Boparan Restaurant Group, which owns brands including Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Carluccios and Giraffe. Prior to that Moore was people chief for Prezzo Italian Restaurants for a short stint.
She spent almost two years as HR director of The Restaurant Group, which operates Frankie and Benny's, Chiquito and Garfunkels, from the start of 2017.
Her 25-year career has also included senior people roles at the Post Office, Spirit Pub Company and retailer Arcadia Group.
Moore worked with Big Table Group chief executive Alan Morgan at GLH hotels, where she again was HR director.
Morgan said: “Debbie is a customer-focused HR director with a wealth of experience across the sector and a great ability to bring out the best in people.
“I’m delighted to welcome her to the Big Table Group and look forward to working with her again.”
The Big Table Group last year announced an intention to open 50 restaurants and refurbish 70 sites over three years, investing in excess of £50 million and creating 1,250 new jobs in the process.
