Most medium and large employers are now getting to grips with what auto-enrolment will mean for their organisation. This is, after all, the biggest change to workplace pensions in the UK that most of us will ever experience.
From the largest organisations, which are well down the road in their preparations to launch in October, to a huge group of medium-sized employers that need to be ready in 2013, most readers of Employee Benefits will now be trying to grapple with the finer details of the pension reforms.
To delve into the practical solutions needed to meet the requirements of auto-enrolment, we gathered together benefits and HR managers from a range of sectors, along with experts from leading pensions bodies, at the Employee Benefits auto-enrolment roundtable in association with The People’s Pension.
During the two-hour discussion, our panel of experts (pictured below) came up with new and intriguing insights into how leading employers are preparing for auto-enrolment, as well as the challenges they are now trying to tackle.
Some employers still had unanswered questions to resolve in getting to grips with the finer details of the legislation, while others were well down the road
to implementation.
However, the discussion threw up much useful advice, along with tips and guidance for all employers preparing for the introduction of auto-enrolment.
