Electrical retailer DSG International will launch a new website in May in order to improve communication with staff.

Employees of the company, which owns high street brands such as Dixons, Currys and PC World, will be able to access the site from home, which will enable it to reach many more of its 26,000 staff, particularly those that are store based.

Sally Ward, reward manager, said: "One of the key problems is that employees are based all over the country and we are looking at ways at how everyone can access that information."

The website will include details on benefits such as car allowances, salary, voluntary benefits and bonuses. Online modelling tools will also be available, which will allow employees to calculate the value of their benefits package.

"We have a very basic intranet site at the moment, and a lot of employees don't have access to it, so we are looking at ways to improve the content and the branding of the material," said Ward.
