Truck-Lite and Surfachem have outsourced fleet management to Zenith Vehicle Contracts.

Truck-Lite, a truck light manufacturer, signed a deal which includes accident management and involves the sale and leaseback of more than 60 vehicles. The vehicles will be provided under contract hire.

Surfachem, a supplier of chemicals for use in the personal care and industrial sectors, has signed a contract that also includes accident management and the sale and leaseback of 16 cars. The firm's remaining 30 vehicles, which are currently leased, will migrate to Zenith.

Michael Wilks of Truck-Lite said: "We wanted to reduce the administrative burden involved in managing our fleet, so we decided on the sale and leaseback arrangement. We chose Zenith because of its innovative and flexible approach to fleet management."

Phil Sumpter, purchasing director at Surfachem, said: "We decided to switch to a sole supplier for our fleet requirements and chose Zenith because of its flexibility and wide range of expertise. We are also impressed by its commitment to service."
