Medium and large-sized company cars are 300% more likely to be involved in accidents while trying to park than smaller cars.
Just 6% of executive cars have been involved in parking incidents over the past 12 months according to the Parking damage survey by fleet management firm Masterlease. The average cost of repairing such cars stands at £880.
Large vehicles were involved in the most parking-related accidents, with 671 reported incidents in the last year, incurring an average repair cost of £847.
Medium-sized cars were not far behind with 638 incidents at an average cost of £708 per vehicle.
Models in the 4x4 range were involved in just 108 accidents while parking, but averaged £772 per vehicle in repair costs.
