Santander has introduced a salary sacrifice company car scheme for its UK employees.
The scheme, run by Zenith, is available to all staff. The banking group also launched a company car scheme only available to essential business users, which includes 750 eligible employees. The eligible drivers cover over 8,000 miles a year on business.
Employees in certain grades are permitted to opt out of the business user scheme and into the salary sacrifice scheme.
Under the car scheme for essential users, the fleet consists of models from BMW, Mini, Audi, Volkswagon and Vauxhall, which are all restricted to a maximum of 140g per km or 160g per km of carbon dioxide (CO2), depending on grade.
Tom Manahan, fleet manager at Santander, said: “We wanted to bring all our company car policies together under one single scheme.
“We appointed Zenith to run the entire company car scheme, including a salary sacrifice car scheme.”
