PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) will pilot electric cars with London-based employees as part of its sustainable travel strategy.
The electric cars, which will be made available at the firm's locations in Southwark and Westminster, can be charged onsite and through the Hertz and Source London charging network.
In addition to the electric cars, members of Hertz's global car share service 'Connect by Hertz' will be able to hire a Nissan Leaf electric and Renault’s new range of electric cars by early 2012.
Bridget Jackson, head of corporate sustainability at PWC, said: "We want to work with new technologies, to test how they fit in with our mix of needs, and find out what the practical issues of using electric cars more widely would be.
"It is a pioneering initiative for PWC and is part of our commitment to lower our overall transport emissions."
