Corporate healthcare provider HSA is piloting the use of green fuelled cars in its 160-strong fleet in an bid to reduce the amount of CO2 emissions.
Cars such as the Honda Civic Hybrid are being tested with the intention of making green cars a long-term option for its company car drivers.
Mark Bradbury, fleet manager, explained: "By keeping on top of developments such as the Civic, we can focus on continuing to cut down on carbon emissions further and do our bit for the environment."
A decision will will be made over the next two months as to whether the 'green' vehicles will be permanent.
HSA has also started using electric vehicles to shuttle employees between its three offices, to further its environmental stance.
