Five in ten (50%) respondents have introduced telematics to their company fleet in order to reduce the risk associated with fleet management and to meet their duty-of-care responsibilities, according to research by ALD Automotive.
The research was conducted by YouGov among UK employers with more than 1,000 staff which have introduced telematics to their fleet.
Keith Allen, managing director of ALD Automotive UK, said: “This survey is very encouraging from a safety point of view.
“It illustrates that, with the high profile given to corporate manslaughter legislation and occupational road risk, businesses are taking the necessary steps to better protect themselves.”
