EXCLUSIVE: Delegates at Employee Benefits Connect 2018 will be able to gain insight on the future of salary sacrifice car schemes and discover the role these schemes can play as part of an organisation’s benefits package.

Claire Evans (pictured), head of consultancy at Zenith, will present a session titled ‘What will salary sacrifice car schemes look like beyond 2018?’ as part of the talent conference stream on Wednesday 28 February 2018.

The session will explore how employers can maximise the potential of salary sacrifice car schemes in order to achieve cost efficiencies, both for themselves and their employees. This includes, for example, looking at different fuel types.

Evans will discuss drivers’ buying trends in relation to salary sacrifice car schemes and analyse how employers can therefore create a more efficient scheme, based on the current climate for cars as well as referring to changes in the mobility environment.

As part of the discussion, Evans will also clarify legislation changes that have impacted on car salary sacrifice arrangements, providing up-to-date information on the optional remuneration arrangement legislation as well as debunking commonly-heard myths around salary sacrifice car schemes.

Evans said: “[Salary sacrifice car schemes] can be delivered as a cost-neutral benefit from an employer perspective, but can really help employees look at procuring a car at a cost-efficient price that suits their needs in what is a changing mobility environment. It’s the role that salary sacrifice for cars can play in the benefits package. We want to reinforce the current legislation and continue to show the benefits from the scheme.”

Employee Benefits Connect 2018 will take place on Wednesday 28 February 2018 at Park Plaza, Westminster, London.
