Property management organisation Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work, which manages West London business campus Chiswick Park, hosted a family fun day for up to 9,000 employees, at its specially created on-site beach.
Held on Friday 27 July 2018, the family fun day concluded Chiswick Park's two-week 'Life's a beach' event. This started on 16 July 2018, and involved Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work creating a 2,500 square foot beach, using 160 tonnes of sand.
Friday's event, which ran between 12pm and 5pm and was attended by around 1,000 individuals, allowed Chiswick Park-based employees, as well as members of the public, to enjoy a range of free outdoor activities, live entertainment, performances and craft workshops. Other activities included water balls, donkey rides, Punch and Judy shows, face painting and dog obstacle courses.
Over the course of the 'Life's a beach' event, Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work also held a beach volleyball competition that 16 on-site organisations competed in. The employees based at Chiswick Park could also participate in beach volleyball league games during the working week.
Organisations based at Chiswick Park include Danone, Discovery and Starbucks.
Matt Coulson, chief executive officer at Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work, said: "Family fun day is very popular within the local community. While the majority of our events are designed exclusively for [Chiswick Park-based employees], it is important that we give the opportunity to the local community to come and enjoy the park too.
"We have run the family fun day for eight years and it's great to see parents and children making the most of our very own Chiswick Park beach."
