Brunner Mond, part of Tata Chemicals, is rolling out a workforce management system across its two UK plants.
The Open Options system provided by Crown Computing will give the 500 permanent staff and 300 contractors access to a web browser where they can request leave, check remaining holiday allowance or view payment transactions.
Lesley Lightfoot, payroll and HR manager, said: “Improving health and safety at our plants was the primary driver for rolling out Open Options.
“However, we are expecting to see many additional benefits, which will have a positive impact both on our employees’ working lives and on our overall business efficiency.”
