Barclays and Plantronics have won accolades for their family-friendly policies at the Family Friendly Awards, hosted by the Family and Parenting Institute and Daycare Trust.
Barclays won the award for private sector employee engagement for its maternity, paternity, flexible working and carer policies.
Plantronics was presented with the award for family-friendly innovation for its flexible working initiatives. Barclays was also commended in this category.
Norma Pearce, director of HR at Plantronics, said: “We’re really proud of the steps we’ve taken to embed family-friendly working at the heart of our organisation.
“Giving employees the choice over how they approach their work duties has boosted employee satisfaction and reduced absenteeism. It proves that family-friendly working is good for both employees and good for business.”
