Allianz Global Assistance UK engaged its employees with wellbeing during a series of events to mark Learning at Work Week (16-22 May).
The organisation took part in the annual awareness campaign with the aim of supporting the personal and professional development of its employees.
During the week, it ran a number of wellbeing-focused sessions, such as diet and nutritional advice, health checks, exercise classes and massages.
Staff also had the opportunity to take part in activities such as career planning and interview preparation, vehicle awareness and motoring skills. They could also try their hand at dress making and flower arranging, and receive coaching from the South Croydon Table Tennis Club.
As part of the initiative, employees also enjoyed talks from London 2012 gold medal-winning Paralympic athlete Natasha Baker, and London Air Ambulance.
Serge Corel, chief executive officer at Allianz Global Assistance in the UK and Ireland, said: “We understand that a happy workforce is more motivated and engaged, and that’s what we want for our employees and customers. We aim to always support our employees with opportunities to learn and develop in both their personal and professional lives, and Learning at Work Week fits perfectly with that.”
Maureen Stapley, HR director at Allianz Global Assistance in the UK and Ireland, added: “As an [organisation] we have always been committed to creating an engaging and rewarding workplace, and the fantastic feedback that we have had this week shows that we are succeeding. Learning at Work Week is a great way for us to thank our employees and reward them for their dedication and hard work.”
