Aberdeen City Council is in the final stages of choosing a childcare voucher provider. The organisation, which has around 11,500 staff, hopes to complete the tender process and put a scheme in place by October this year. James Fox, HR adviser, said: "We did have a workplace nursery which closed and the scheme is in recognition of the fact there are childcare issues out there." He added the council is also looking into providing total reward statements to give staff a better picture of the value of the perks available to them. A bikes for work scheme is also under consideration.
