EXCLUSIVE: Specsavers has implemented an epoints system to reward and motivate its 17,500 employees.
The optical retailer has introduced the multi-retailer consumer loyalty scheme from epoints Rewards, through which its employees can choose to buy products from retailers such as Thorntons, Amazon, Marks and Spencer, Odeon, T.G.I. Fridays and Pizza Hut.
Specsavers is also currently running a large range of organisation-wide incentive campaigns. This includes rewarding stores with epoints for meeting and exceeding targets and for discussing certain products with customers.
Further flexibility is enabled by allowing individual franchise directors to buy additional epoints to run their own incentive campaigns and to reward staff individually.
Jill Clark, director of retail communications at Specsavers, said: “epoints Rewards is a unique employee incentive scheme that has been very successful in its roll out throughout Specsavers stores.
“As staff can choose their own rewards, it has been hugely motivational for them and this in turn has had a significant impact on both employee engagement and sales.”
