Something for the weekend…
Waitrose staff in south-east London funked up its annual general meeting (AGM) to help put a smile on colleagues’ faces.
Around 40 employees at the supermarket’s Bromley branch took part in a parody of the song Uptown Funk.
With every store holding its own AGM, the three-minute long rendition was aimed at making it as interesting, engaging and motivating as possible for staff.
During the unique motivation strategy, the employees can be seen donning sunglasses and lip-synching their way through the hit, and they even had to courage to do it in-front of customers.
Luckily, footage was captured and posted onto YouTube but is, sadly, unavailable for viewing.
A Waitrose spokesman: “Our [employees] go to great efforts to bring a smile to their annual general meetings and Bromley South partners have certainly risen to the occasion.”
