Exclusive: Withers has launched a monthly financial education scheme for its employees.

The first With… your future in mind session was held on 5 September 2013, covering eligible employees’ Friends Life group personal pension (GPP) scheme.

More than 100 of the law firm’s workers attended the session.

The next presentation will cover the employer’s auto-enrolment process, with future events set to address topics including the annuity market.

Each session will last no longer than 30 minutes and include time for a question and answer session.

The employer is promoting the scheme to its employees via email, and intends to communicate the benefit further at the next Withers annual general meeting (AGM) in late September.

Sharon Tebb (pictured), compensation and benefits manager at Withers, said that the organisation introduced the scheme because of the way in which it helps to educate employees using a quick and easily digestible method.

She added: “Giving people some very useful information, but in a 20 minute time-frame, so [Withers] is getting the best bits to the employees in a short time, works.

“We are removing the discomfort of [employees] siting there for hours on end, listening to someone, and possibly drifting off.”
