?Travelport is migrating its 2,000 UK employees from two existing pension schemes into a single plan and has launched an online benefits portal called My Benefits.
The pension changes are intended to simplify provision, reduce annual management charges, and prepare for a smooth transition into auto-enrolment by 2012. Its previous two group personal pension (GPP) schemes were provided by Aegon and Scottish Widows. All staff have now been moved into the plan provided by Scottish Widows.
Travelport’s new online portal, which will include the pension scheme, will be open year-round and is provided via Benefex’s RewardHub. It will also include access to childcare vouchers, employee discounts, an employee assistance programme, life assurance, private medical insurance and travel insurance.
Caroline Jowett-Ive, group vice-president of reward at Travelport, said: “Co-ordinating our UK benefits under one brand and in one place will raise employee awareness of their benefit offering and increase engagement.”
Because Travelport is a technology company, the communication campaign has been centred around emails and a video link on its intranet. The firm is also hosting a roadshow at its main site.
