Towers Perrin has acquired global employee research firm ISR.

It will now combine its existing consulting and research capabilities with those of ISR.

Mark Mactas, Towers Perrin chairman and CEO, said: "With the addition of ISR's capabilities, we can enhance the integrated solutions and metrics we provide to clients across all of our services. This move is a further demonstration of our commitment to grow our offerings around the globe in response to client needs for a more holistic view of their issues."

ISR's, which is headquartered in Chicago, has 200 employees working in 10 offices on five continents. Its services include employee opinion services; senior leadership surveys, M&A surveys and expatriate surveys. By acquiring ISR, Towers Perrin hopes to build on its workforce effectiveness practice which helps organisations around the world define the workforce they will need in the future and engage employees for better financial performance.
