A team of employees from The Body Shop completed a 240-mile bike ride from London to Paris in just three days.
The team of 23 employees left Croydon on 27 August and reached Portsmouth in the evening to take a ferry to France. They covered the remaining distance from Caen to Paris over two days, finishing in front of the Eiffel Tower.
The team, which included Alex Snelling, HR director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), rode bikes obtained through the organisation’s bikes-for-work scheme, which is provided by Cycle Solutions.
The Body Shop has partnered with the bikes provider for several years. Cycle Solutions provided a raffle prize to support the London-to-Paris bike ride.
Snelling said: “Steve [Edgell] and the team at Cycle Solutions have been incredibly supportive of our charity ride, not only providing an amazing prize but also making sure several employees had their bikes delivered in good condition in time to take part in the challenge.”
