The BOC Group has achieved a 4% take up of its cycle-to-work scheme since it was launched in May. This is †double the average scheme take up of 2%.

The scheme was launched after a ‘Green Ideas At Work’ campaign highlighted employees desire for a green way to commute to work.

As the BOC Group is part of the Linde Group, the scheme is open to the majority of the 3,500 UK employees across both organisations.

Lindsay Fitzpatrick, reward manager for UK and Ireland at BOC, said: “We always try to act on employee feedback and the popularity of cycle to work at BOC goes to show how important it is to listen to what they have to say.”

The benefit sits alongside the BOC Group’s ‘Benefits Of Choice’ voluntary benefits scheme which was launched November 2008.

The cycle-to-work scheme was promoted using emails, posters and a two-page desk drop flyer.
