Private hospital group Spire Healthcare has announced the acquisition of Lifescan, the provider of CT health checks.
The acquisition, which has been valued at £1.365 million, will help to diversify Sprire’s services and increase patient volumes.
Lifescan operates within 12 Spire hospitals, as well as two standalone centres.
Rob Roger, chief executive officer at Spire Healthcare, said: “This acquisition will result in an increase in the number of patients being referred to Spire hospitals for follow-up care.
“Because Lifescan already operates out of our hospitals it was a very natural progression and we are looking at opportunities to develop the service further."
Crispin Lennox, corporate business manager at Lifescan, added: “Lifescan will continue to offer and develop the current employee healthcare assessments that enable organisations to offer a comprehensive approach to their employee health and wellbeing.”
Lifescan will be exhibiting at Employee Benefits Live on the 27 and 28 September, at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.
