Sony Pictures Entertainment has launched a bike-to-work scheme this month and is also considering introducing matched contributions to its existing payroll giving scheme.

The bike launch is being used to promote an environmentally-friendly culture at the organisation.

Roger Fairhead, vice president of international compensation and benefits, said: "This is to promote health and welfare, but we also have an environmentally-friendly agenda."

The entertainment firm already operates a payroll giving scheme that allows employees to donate tax efficiently to a chosen charity, but now the employer is looking to match any donation made, in an effort to make the perk more attractive to staff.
