Easyjet has changed providers for the administration of its employee share plans.
The airline awarded the contract to Equiniti following a tender process.
Equiniti has provided the airline’s share plan registration since 2000. But under the new contract, it will also be the sole provider for Easyjet’s share plan administration for five years.
Easyjet, which has 8,000 employees, offers employees access to UK and international sharesave plans, UK and international share incentive plans (Sips), a Jersey trust and executive share plans.
Brian White, managing director of client relationships at Equiniti, said: “EasyJet recently entered the FTSE 100 and, as a result, its popularity as a traded company will increase significantly.
“Behind every great service brand are its people, for whom a comprehensive employee benefits package is essential.
”That is why EasyJet places a great deal of emphasis on its employee share plans.”
