Sewell Group has added payroll giving, volunteering days and bikes for work to its benefits package for its 300 employees.

The development, construction and facilities management firm launched its in-house reward package Sewell Select in January 2010 following a complete review of its benefits offering. The programme combines flexible and voluntary benefits.

Rachel Corr, head of people and brand at Sewell Group, said: “It is really a way of recognising that everyone is unique, has different lifestyles and is interested in different things. We looked at other providers and did our research but we felt we could do it internally.”

Sewell Select has now been re-launched to include payroll giving, volunteering days and bikes for work. The organisation held its annual convention week at the end of January, which this year included an expo that showcased all the benefits on offer.

Corr added: “This is where we get the whole team together to do a review of the last year, and it is an opportunity to communicate the business plan going forward.

"Workplace Giving UK had a stand and were signing people up. It was a good way of getting people engaged. Part of being a great place to work is what staff can put back into the community as well."
