Employers’ key priority for benefits communication in 2010 is influencing employee engagement and motivation
Also high on the agenda is increasing staff perception of the value of benefits (67%), increasing employee appreciation of the benefits package (54%) and boosting take-up of available benefits (40%), according to Accor Services’ Future of benefits communications survey, published in its white paper Communicate to Benefit.
More than three-quarters of respondents consider measuring the effectiveness of communicating benefits to be one of their key challenges. Also, two-thirds cite preventing information overload in the business as a key challenge, 47% face difficulties in securing line manager support in helping to communicate around benefits, and 36% have issues with the internal resources needed to promote perks.
As regards evaluating the effectiveness of their benefits communications, 54% look at take-up rates, while 49% use staff surveys. But 32% do not measure the effectiveness of benefits communications.
