Medirest, the healthcare division of Compass Group UK and Ireland will be rewarding its 2,200 healthcare front-line employees who support the NHS, an 5% pay increase.
This pay uplift, which will be fully funded by Medirest, will see the basic rates of pay aligning with NHS employees who are doing a comparable job, from 1 June 2020.
The healthcare employees, who are currently working within 20 NHS trusts, will also see an increase to their sick pay.
Employees are also provided with financial wellbeing support, access to emotional and mental health support, while 7,500 complimentary essentials food boxes and other care packages have already been received.

This new pay award recognises the exceptional work and the contribution our healthcare heroes are making at the hospitals in which they work.
