With the recession as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is imperative that businesses are able to return to normal operations as quickly as possible. While many organisations have functioned effectively during lockdown, few have been able to operate at full capacity.
While there will be a continued role for working from home, it is now crucial that employers do whatever they can to make it possible for staff to return to work – and that employees feel comfortable doing so.
In light of this, we asked 5,000 UK workers and 2,000 UK employers about their views on returning to work. The research identified two insights, if acted on quickly could enable businesses to get up and running faster and accelerate the economic recovery.
