A new company has been set up to enable employers to source legal, financial and lifestyle benefits for their staff.
Life & Legal, which launched on 1 October, has teamed up with a variety of providers to offer access to a range of benefits, including insurance, counselling and advice services, as well as a retail discount scheme. Employers can opt to fund the perks for staff, share the cost, or offer the service on a voluntary basis.
The benefits providers include Brit Insurance, which will underwrite identity theft insurance and legal expenses insurance, and Atos Healthcare, which will offer counselling services through an employee assistance programme.
Grant Thornton will provide debt advice and solutions, and an arrangement has been made with Castle View to offer employees free independent mortgage and insurance advice.
Life & Legal will also offer a product called Helping Hand, provided by Red Arc, which will provide psychological and practical support for employees diagnosed with a long-term illness.
Liz Scott, joint managing director, said: "Increasingly, our research has shown that employers are realising the value of a well-rounded employee benefits package but can find it frustrating and time-consuming if they have to deal with a number of suppliers."
