Standard Life Investments has appointed John Fitzgerald head of reward. He moved to the organisation from Aegon, where he held the post of senior reward consultant, pensions and benefits.
He spent 13 years at Aegon, seven of those in human resources. In his last two years with the company, Fitzgerald looked after reward for the Aegon asset management business and was interim head of reward.
On his new role, Fitzgerald said: “We are in a particularly busy period in the annual cycle, coming up to the 2011 pay review and the 2010 bonuses. There is a huge amount of business that I need to pick up and make it sure runs normally.”
