Over the last few days, Chancellor Rishi Sunak has revealed that there will be some increased support for workers and businesses hit by COVID-19 restrictions. These new support measures come with an increased focus on keeping business moving by keeping their staff in employment.
These changes involve the current furlough scheme, which is due to be replaced in November with a new Job Support Scheme (JSS).
This scheme will reduce the amount that employers will have to contribute to unworked hours, as well as reduce the minimum hours requirement.
These new changes present a new range of rules and eligibility requirements that employers will need to make themselves aware of. To learn more about the Job Support Scheme and whether your business is eligible, read our Job Support Scheme Update.
