HCL Axon has revamped its flexible benefits and pension schemes, and launched online total reward statements (TRS) to boost employees' awareness and understanding of its benefits.

The IT firm, which employs more than 650 staff, updated its flex scheme to include access to TRS and a net pay calculator via an employer-branded website. It also added an interactive pensions modelling tool to enable staff to select contribution levels and view their funds forecast in real time, so easing the administration burden for HR.

HCL Axon is also providing a matched 1% contribution for staff in its group personal pension scheme. Through the flex scheme, employees can contribute via salary sacrifice, with the employer passing back its national insurance savings into their pension pot.

The employer created the reward brand Choices for the launch, which was communicated using an electronic brochure and group presentations by the scheme's provider, Thomsons Online Benefits.

Karen Green, HR manager Europe, Middle East and Africa at HCL Axon, said: "We have a flexible approach to reward and strive to provide employees with a reward package that suits their lifestyles. Unique logins to the site have already surpassed 77%, evidencing the effectiveness of our communications strategy."
