Ellipse has launched a group income protection product that integrates income protection cover with an absence management system, helping to ensure illness and disability in the workplace are managed and mitigated.

The product, InteractPlus, includes a built-in absence management service by Absere, and several specialist medical providers.

It aims to reduce the incidence, impact and duration of sickness absence on an organisation and its employees.

During the first stage of launch, the product will be available for schemes of up to 300 lives. Later in 2012, the second phase of the launch will open the product up to schemes of over 300 lives.

John Ritchie, chief executive officer at Ellipse, said: “It aims to guarantee an appropriate intervention early enough to make a difference.”
