To help attendees stay on the right side of the tax man, Lesley Fidler, associate director at Baker Tilly, will give an update on the latest tax issues around salary sacrifice arrangements.
She will:
- recap why salary sacrifice provides tax and/or national insurance contribution (NIC) savings
- explain what is expected to happen to childcare vouchers and when
- look at where HM Revenue and Customs might turn its attention next
- outline how (not) to set up an ineffective salary sacrifice scheme.
This session will be followed by another looking at what the future holds for salary sacrifice car schemes.
Mark Everton, relationship manager at Grass Roots, and Andrew Kirby, commercial director – employee benefit schemes at Zenith, will examine the issues employers must take into consideration when implementing a scheme, as well as the positive impact on employee engagement, recruitment and retention.
