Friends Provident is launching a new corporate investment platform aimed at employee benefit consultants and trustees in the unbundled pensions market.

Developed in partnership with FNZ, the investment platform is the first stage of Friends Provident’s new corporate savings platform, which will be rolled out later this year.

Key features of the new corporate investment platform include: fast dealing and settlement to minimise out of market risk; new funds added within five days; and auto-balancing options such as ability to incorporate inflows and outflows.

Russell Welsh, head of corporate pensions sales at Friends Provident, said: "This is a key strategic development for Friends Provident and significantly broadens the range of services that we are able to offer. We think our next generation of solutions will open up new choices for employers who want to provide employee benefits. These will provide a truly exciting opportunity for employers to start thinking differently about how they offer benefits to their employees."
